‘piouhgd’ - The 5th studio album by Texas-bred psych stalwarts: it’s pronounced “P.O.’ed.”

Originally released in 1991, it finds them mid transition – morphing from underground freakshow to unlikely MTV mainstays. Face-melting guitars abound, as do references to comedian Gary Shandling.

A cover of Donovan’s “Hurdy Gurdy Man” is skewed and tuneful. Remastered by Golden under the guidance of guitarist Paul Leary.
