The Colorist Orchestra is a unique musical adventure which entails Inviting singer-songwriters to rework their repertoire in a very special and completely unorthodox way with the Belgian-based outfit.
The talented and experienced Mrs. Torrini rediscovered the joy and power of her own songs and she took the concept of The Colorist Orchestra to another level.
All songs on the record were originally released on previous albums of Emiliana Torrini, except for "Nightfall," written by Kid Koala and Emiliana Torrini and "When we dance" which was written by Kobe, Aarich and Emiliana
Seeing Emiliana and The Colorist Orchestra in concert is a truly special experience. They have a musical chemistry that is undeniable and documenting the experience on an album was something that just had to be done by the Rough Trade label.
