Queen’s fifth studio album, and the second to acquire its title from a Marx Brothers film, A Day At The Races, is a rich and diverse production, representing Queen during a highly inventive and motivated period.

It explores all manner of musical styles and genres; from the heavy ‘Tie Your Mother Down’ and ‘White Man’, to the delicate ‘You Take My Breath Away’ and ‘You And I’.

The album also includes the huge worldwide hit ‘Somebody To Love’, one of Freddie’s favourite self-penned compositions, which would become the biggest single from an album which reached No. 1 in the UK and No. 5 in the US and is certified platinum around the world.
