Tully were rock stars of a very rare order in Australian music, feted by highbrow critics and teenage groupies alike.
Sea Of Joy radiates a serene purity, miles removed from what people generally think of as surf music. Reissue includes "a hissy radio interview" with the band from 1971. Liner notes by surf music historian Stephen J McParland, Paul Witzig, Tully organist Michael Carlos and "flautist, clarinetist, saxophonist and de facto band leader" Richard Lockwood.
