Overview

Withings Sleep Analyser is a sleep sensor placed under the mattress at chest level with a one-time setup. It contains two sensors: a sound sensor that identifies audio signals specific to snoring & cessation of breathing episodes, and a pneumatic sensor that measures your respiratory rate, heart beats via ballistocardiography, and body movements across the mattress.

Thus, Withings Sleep Analyser is a unique and innovative combination of two powerful sensors, in the sense that 1) they complement each other in an unusual way to track multiple metrics during sleep, and 2) because of their placement, they can accurately sense human activity from under the mattress, as well as sound.

**The Sleep Apnea Detector software in the Withings Sleep Mat has been tested in a multi-centric clinical investigation against polysomnography (PSG), which is the recognized gold standard for sleep studies. These results confirmed that the software is clinically validated and medically certified under CE-mark and under TGA clearance.
***The output of the Withings Sleep Analyzer is equivalent to a PSG when used alone, without the influence of a corrective device such as a CPAP. The Sleep Mat's readings are not validated for use in conjunction with a CPAP machine, and thus, we advise against using it with other accessories not described in the product guide.
