Arrival into LAS. Guests have two days at their leisure in Las Vegas.
DAY 3 Las Vegas – Zion National Park (257 km)
Guests will pick up their motorbikes and leave the neon oasis of Las Vegas and head to Zion National Park. Even compared to Yosemite and the Grand Canyon, Zion exudes a much stronger sense of nature. Here the guests and their bike will make immediate contact with the environment. Zion National Park contains more than 70 percent of the state’s native plant species. Within its 593 square kilometres are the plateaus, canyons, waterfalls, creeks and narrows – altogether, a very beautiful place and the perfect blend of road and land.
DAY 4 - Zion National Park – Bryce Canyon (185 km)
Besides seeing the most beautiful rock formations found anywhere on earth, guests are in for a most stunning ride along the switchbacks of Zion! From Zion the guests will venture to the amazing Bryce Canyon. Here, the guests will take some time to visit and overlook the fabled red pillars of red rock created about 60 million years ago in a prehistoric lake.
DAY 5 - Bryce Canyon, UT – Moab, UT (394 km)
As guests continue their ride on Hwy 191, they will enjoy a scenic ride along Arches National Park, which certainly is one of the least terrestrial places on this planet. Massive fins of red and golden sandstone stand to attention out of the bare desert plains. Apart from the single ribbon of black asphalt that snakes through the park, there is nothing even vaguely human about it.
DAY 6 - Moab, UT – Olijato- Monument Valley), (243 km)
Guests will experience the incredible Monument Valley. This is Navajo Country here, a landscape of stark sandstone buttes and forbidding pinnacles of rock, poking from an endless expanse of drifting red sands. This evening guests will be provided with the option to descend into the Valley itself and includes a Navajo Guide who regals stories of life in the heart of this spiritual wonderland.
DAY 7 - Olijato- Monument Valley- Ouray, (428 km)
Today’s highlight includes Million Dollar Highway - a Highway that more than lives up to its name, it's one of the best-loved roads in the country. With each turn and twist and turn, the landscape grows larger and more impressive. Guests will meander through slow-paced Cowboy Country here and ride curves, neither dangerous nor demanding, until encountering the San Juan Skyway. As you continue on SR 145 all your Colorado visions will come together and you can see an overwhelming combination of colours and textures, black and white mountains and surreal blue skies. The journey has the guests crossing a 10,000 feet plateau and then slowly descends about 2,000 feet!
DAY 8 - Ouray, CO- Canyon City, CO (402 km)
An epic drive today, including a ride along Gunnison National Park towards the Black Canyon. Guests will stop for a view down into the fearsome Black Rock Canyon to the foaming Gunnison River below, this is as macabre as mountain scenery can get. Over two million years the river eroded a deep, narrow gorge, leaving exposed cliffs and jagged spires of crystalline rock more than 1.7 billion years old.
DAY 9 - Canyon City ,CO – Denver, CO (185 km)
Today marks the end of the motorbike journey where guests will cruise along the Arapaho National Forest and Clear Creek towards Denver but not before a visit to Pikes Peak. The highest summit in the southern Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, Pikes Peak towers over Colorado Springs like a granite sentinel. The moment they lay eyes on that big beautiful mountain, you’ll see exactly why it is names what it is. The Pikes Peak Region comprises Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Old Colorado City, Canon City, Cripple Creek and a number of amazing little towns in between. Navigating all that awesomeness is an epic way to finish up this unforgettable trip. Upon arrival into Denver, it will be time to return the motorcycle and transfer back to the hotel, marking the end of the biking journey!
