Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very disappointing. Poor construction. I had mine for maybe 2 months and where the cable meets the jack it has split. I've been running them on the left only. The cord is really flimsy and weak and gets tangled painlessly easy. I've lost pretty much all of the ear tips, bar two. They come off way too easily. I expected a higher level of durability for the asking price. I use Sennheiser HD 25 ll for Djing and give them an absolute thrashing. I cannot rate them higher enough as they have lasted for nearly ten years. That's why it was so disappointing that the In-Ear Momentums didn't stand up construction wise. The sound is good, I can't really fault them there. Reall poorly made.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Excellent Sound, poor quality materials I do love the design and I would stick to those forever bc they are comfy and the sound is really above expectations for the in-ear buds However it only took 3 months of non-heavy use for the cord to begin to split right where the incoming port is. I think there is smth wrong with either how they designed the port part or with the material that doesn't last that long. Though they still work fine atm i expect they can stop any moment as wires are almost completely naked now. Such a disappointment from such a great company. SH do have to test the durability of those before selling. People are wearing them every day you know :/

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Want spectacular sound? Look no further. These are an amazing product. Frequency response is spot on and there is no colouring of the music unlike other brands (and even other Sennheiser models). They are truly top notch. Many headphones mask parts of the music by being biased and not dynamic enough, these just sound exactly as the music was recorded. Deep not boomy overpowered bass, crystal clear highs and amazingly clear vocals without ever sounding harsh. I cannot imagine how the sound could be better. From the individual snare wires at the start of The Hilltop Hoods' 1955 (Restrung) or the gong at the start of I Love It (Restrung) (yes, there is a gong, who knew?) to the nuances in Sinead O'Connor's voice in her rendition of Nothing Compares 2 U. The fast paced Just Like Heaven by The Cure has every instrument easily picked out in the sound stage as if you were there (or as if they were here). Flick over to Fast Car by Tracy Chapman and drop into her studio. If you want to test their dynamics, put on Numb by Linkin Park, the guitars are distorted but they don't mask any other instrument, it's all there. Deep but crisp bass still completely unflustered by the extreme guitar distortion. There just isn't anything that these things can't do. They isolate sound well (though are not as good as noise cancelling headphones) and the different size ear buds mean you can always find the right size. There is still a little cable noise if you tap the cable and there isn't a clip to keep the cable where you might want it which was a bit disappointing for the money. The carry case is great if perhaps a little large and considering its size, could possibly include ear and cable clips, I find I have to very occasionally reseat them in my ears. As far as functionality goes, it would be good to have a previous track button as well as next track button but these really are nitpicks. I challenge anyone to find a better pair of earbuds at this price point. While it says they are Samsung Galaxy "versions" they work perfectly well on all my Android phones, I guess Sennheiser use the Galaxy hardware as reference gear.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth the hype They lasted 14 months. Let's see if the 2 year warranty is honoured even though wear and tear is not. Where did I use them? In bed. Fraying on the right ear cord and near the jack until the right side died even though all the fraying was taped up. Very uncomfortable due to the bulkiness if you want to listen to a podcast or music in bed and want to turn your head to the side a little bit. Bass & treble is poor compared to the specs. In my opinion the quality control as with everything else in this age, has been compromised.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from fantastic sound, bad build quality im a very heavy user of headphones, i wear them more than half the day most days and often do physical tasks and such while wearing them. I was very disappointed when after only having had this pair of earbuds for about two weeks the lead had started splitting and detaching at the plug end of the headphones, while this didn't effect the sound over the last 6 months of me owning them it has only gotten worse. the sound quality is amazing though.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from bad rubber on wire I've had about 4 pairs of these and every time the rubber sheathing around the wire near the jack always rips open even if I'm being careful. The rubber sheath overall is very bad quality and always breaks resulting in one side always breaking. Poor quality

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Over-priced, Over-engineered sound The bass is incredibly dominant in the sound stage. The high end is very clear, however, is much overshadowed by the base. The Mid-range suffers quite extensively and falls back to be rather timidly on the sound stage. The sound of these headphones is akin to taking some amazingly well engineered individual sound features and combining them in a way that just doesn't work. Remember when you used to mix all the paints together at school? When, you thought the result was probably going to look pretty awesome... but in the end you got some kind of disgusting brown? I'm sure the intentions were well, when these were made, however, I feel a lot of goodness is lost with the sound engineering of these headphones. I prefer a far more neutral sound, as close to the how the music was intended to be when it was created. These are far too bass-centric. If you're looking for earbuds with the mic (like these) and which have something closer to neutral, but still with a little extra low end, checkout the Sennheiser CX 5.00 models.
