Reviews

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible item. Very disappointed with this item. I have no issue with lower quality/budget items but they still need to be able to function in accordance with the advertised specs. This TV fails miserably at its full resolution, and it insists on up-scaling the 1080 feed from my media box to 4k which not only degrades the image but introduces obvious lag and tearing. The "Smart TV" functions are complete and utter rubbish, almost no functionality. Overall this fails at everything, It even fails at being a passive screen. In retrospect I'd be willing to pay extra for the 1080p version without the "smart" abilities". The 10 year old plasma this TV was meant to replace was far superior.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cheap but Ok I bought this TV because it was cheap and thats all i need atm. However, if your buying a TV because you expect to be wowed by its picture or features then dont buy this one. -Screen is not bright enough. The whites in the picture looks hazy. Pretty ordinary for suppossibly Ultra HD. -The smart features most would want is Youtube which is not available. Remote is slow when navigating smart features and keyboard for input. -Has Ethernet and Wifi. -Has wifi-direct but no screen mirroring. -Notification light on the tv when the remote is clicked is virtually invisible. All in all, for me its a TV with a Laptop hooked up via HDMI and all that works fine so happy with the puchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A TV just for watching movies and TV shows Unfortunately this TV only actually supports 3840x2160 at 30hz and not 50hz. On top of this, the response time is far higher between a 50-100ms range while using a 4K input making gaming near impossible. There is also a stutter I've noticed not just on the 4K input but even with the Netflix app. The UI feels very sluggish to navigate requiring great patience when using the menus or typing. This TV would be fine for some people when just media viewing is required, however if you have an eye for an unstable refresh rate and can notice the stutters then it'd be best to avoid. I guess this makes a great budget TV if you need to save money, but honestly I feel like products that can not fulfill their promised features fully shouldn't even have the opportunity to be stocked. It's in my opinion this should be considered a faulty TV and many of Soniq's other televisions seem to share the same type of panel so it makes me very weary about trusting any other Soniq TV based on the lackluster functionality that this one showed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Soniq TV 55" I bought this TV two weeks ago it was inexpensive and you pay for what you get the TV is not clear with crisp lines and impossible to watch a sporting game. You can see a tail on the ball when watching cricket, looks like a comet. I have a brand new Arial so it is not that . should have spent a few hundred dollars more to get the quality I expected. I did not have high expectations but still disappointed. The TV advertised as a smart TV, the smart part of the TV does not work. I have had a technician in to try, he also bought a Soniq which he was lucky enough to return.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for I bought this tv on sale and expected to be getting a great bargain , und smart tv. Well it has got internet and I can hook it up to my blue ray but as far as anything else goes, don’t bother. It’s very unresponsive to the remote, wait time up to 10 secs to boot and to change channel, or do any command really. Not so smart. I’ve hooked it up to my wi-fi and while watching it now pops up with a box at the bottom about the remote app is disconnected!! Whatever! The USB port is only for recording to and then it’ll read those recordings. Anything else, go fish. Luckily I gave ysb on my blue ray so I can still play my recorded net flicks through that. Overall underwhelmed. Pay an extra $200 and go with a brand name.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value Positives: It's a great TV for the price. I don't have an issue with the quality of the picture, it's great for what it's worth. Huge upgrade from what we had previously so we're very happy with the purchase. Still has it's standard USB, HDMI ports which is what is required... seriously at great value and you also receive free 2 year extended warranty! Negatives: -Takes too long to turn on which is frustrating -Smart features don't work. Luckily we have a chromecast already so we can hook up netflix, youtube etc -TV frame is black in the pictures and was a black display in store... however it came out of the box gold... lol But for the price and size, it's definitely great value if you don't care too much about all the features. Do recommend for basic tv users who don't want much out of a television

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cheap and frustrating I bought this a while back and whilst it gives a big picture was frustrated by not being able to run the xbone at 4k. Epg is terrible if not torture. Worst ive ever seen. Picture lags a bit when horizontal scene movement. Should never be labelled smart. Remote is flimsy Frustrations aside, picture is ok for the price and suited our purpose to watch from >5m . Wifi hotspot is nice feature.Would spend more on a name brand next time
