What is a 8K TV?

An 8K TV is also sometimes called an 8K Ultra HD TV or an 8K UHD TV. The reason it’s called any of those things is because of the screen resolution. There are about 7,700 horizontal and about 4300 vertical pixels in an 8K TV. That means about 33 million pixels all up, about four-times the number of pixels as a 4K TV. That means higher resolution and incredibly crisp detail. JB is the home of big-brand TVs, and we’ve got 8K televisions from some of the biggest brands in the world instore and online, including Samsung, Hisense and LG.

Is an 8K TV worth it?

While there isn’t a lot of 8K content out there at the moment, it’s only a matter of time before 8K resolution becomes as popular as 4K is now. So, can get in early with an 8K Smart TV today and be ready. 8K TVs have upscaling technology, which means they can upscale existing content as much as possible. So either way, while you may not be watching total 8K on your TV, you’ll be watching a picture quality that’s better than you have ever seen before.

The best 8K TVs also have a heap of other features which make them great value, such as:

  1. Amazing screens. Infinity displays will make the vision seem real.
  2. Picture quality. Remarkable detail and radiant colours.
  3. Detail. The picture is analysed by algorithms and adjusted to perfection.
  4. Cinema sound. Feel like you’re there and never miss a word.
  5. Connectivity. Built-in smart-home devices and Bluetooth connections.
  6. Stunning designs. No gaps and no chunk.
  7. Accessories. Compatible with the accessories you need such as JB installation, brackets, and streaming.

What is the difference between a 4K and 8K TV?

As mentioned above, the main difference between a Full HD TV, a 4K TV, and an 8K TV is the higher resolution, which means a better picture quality. JB has two types of 8K TVs on our shelves:

  1. QLED 8K TV
  2. LED 8K TV
