Rated 1 out of 5 by from A mess What can I say except that I bought this with the promise that I would be able to save and view content without the need to have my computer running . Wireless/Wifi etc . Yes you can have everything on it but NO it isn't easy to organise files it just lumps them all in by date or name . You are unable to create personalised folders that the supporyed Plex media server can scan or add to your dashboard. It either sees some or not at all . After researching online for help I see it's a common problem with lots of users . Also the non response from WD is not encouraging. On one forum a WD employee is actually contemptuous to a customer. I do not recommend this product at all .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not like the older My Cloud. They butchered a great product. You can not create folders. The only folder you can see is the Public Folder.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubbish product Super slow at all tasks. Transfers so slow that movies can’t play without buffering. Needs internet to send data over network. Not a true network device. I’m returning it tomorrow.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy after firmway update the device is not access throgh the internet anymore, all data could only be access through LAN. That required me to do a hard reset, and all my 4TB data will be gone?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good with a few flaws I bought it expecting it to be a faster version of the previous generation my clouds. I should have done a bit more research. Anyway, the operating system is completely different and the majority of the access is now through either an app on your phone or on your computer. There is a "backdoor" public folder however that allows access from any computer on your network in the old fashioned way I was expecting. It doesn't have any security inside so i can't password protect it like i do with some of the folders on my other previous generation my clouds. Net result is that I am not using it as WD intend but it is serving my purpose as I have an extra 4TB on HDD on my home network. I can't access outside my home network, but i don't want to either. Performance is fine and as expected in terms of copying to and accessing the files.
