Description

We live in a complex world. The more advanced it gets, the more vulnerable it becomes. We’ve created a house of cards. Remove just one and everything falls apart.

On Black Friday, a devastating pandemic sweeps through New York City and, one by one, basic services fail. In only days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, an autonomous unit of tactical agents, is activated. Leading seemingly ordinary lives among us, the agents are trained to operate independently in order to save society.

When society falls, your mission begins.

    Key Features

Take Back New York - Welcome to a new generation experience in a persistent and dynamic environment, where exploration and player-progression are essential. Teaming up with other Division agents, your mission is to restore order, investigate the source of the virus and to Take Back New York.

A Living and Breathing World - Enter a universe where the time of day and weather conditions deeply impact your gaming experience. Use the environment to a strategic advantage to dominate fights and ambush your enemies. Utilize your gas mask to provide protection from the virus and upgrade it to enter the most highly contaminated areas.

Urban Jungle - New York City is being overrun by hostile groups that are trying to take advantage of the crisis. One such group is The Cleaners, who travel throughout the city wherever the contagion levels rise. Wearing hazmat suits and wielding flamethrowers, the Cleaners leave nothing but ash in their wake.

The Agents of the Division - Trained to act independently from any chain of command, Agents are autonomous and adaptive, working alone or in small groups. They are the last line of defence, activated when all else fails to save what remains.

Gear Up - As a member of The Division, harness state-of-the-art technology: both networked and prototyped. Loot fallen enemies and upgrade your gear. Customize your character and your back-pack, your lifeline in the event of a collapse, and communicate with the other agents at all times with your smart watch. Customize and level up your weapons. The choices you make will help forge a recovery or plunge the city deeper into chaos.

Game Changing Skills - Choose and upgrade your skills smartly and synergize with your team mates to increase your chances of winning in combat. Use the ECHO skill, a data collection tool that renders moments frozen in time, to learn valuable information about your immediate environment, find hidden loot, and help you to uncover the truth behind the pandemic.

Social Seamless Multiplayer - Seamlessly team up with friends to take down your enemies and achieve group objectives. Raise the security and morale levels of the surviving citizens of New York to unlock and secure bases of operations. Fight through a city where danger can come from anywhere and anyone, at any moment.

Snowdrop Engine - Powered by the fully new gen Snowdrop engine, Tom Clancy's The Division sets a new bar in video game realism and open-world rendering. Experience a chaotic and devastated New York like you’ve never seen it before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great multi genre game I was waiting for this game after some great sneak peeks but had very realistic expectations considering most games aren't what they promise. Very happy to say that it is better than I had hoped. I have a wide variety of friends that play titles from Far Cry to Destiny, Indi games to AAA and they all love this game. A great mix of RPG, tactical shooter and MMO that sucks you in with the gun play and cool things you can do and keeps you there with mixed missions and constant stat tweaking. Less twitchy than Call of Duty and with more thought plus the ability to suit your own play style. Love it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Repetitive and Difficult Alone Being the only one i know with the game i lost a huge aspect of the game which is communication with your team members, although the matchmaking can work well, grouping with random people is not as fun as with friends. That aside the game is repetitive and requires grinding to level up, and i find in the dark zone, being alone means its extremely difficult to get out alive, and harder to complete missions. While obviously developed to be played in a team it over-rewards said teams and makes the dark zone impossibly playing solo. I would love to see the introduction of a mini game mode such as a wave survival mode or target shooting games. Overall a game with great visuals and fun with a group of friends online but can repetitive after a few days of gameplay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great game, worth buying! If you don't already have the division added to your collection then I highly recommend you go and get it. The game does a great job making you feel like you are in New York after a virus outbreak. The graphics and scenery of the game is fantastic and the game play of a "Cover Shooter" could not be more accurate. The end game starts to feel a bit like Diablo as loot plays such an important part of the game, more so than the actual game play. All in all a great game to play and definitely one for your collection!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic MMORPG 3rd Person Shooter Been a month now into saving NYC from an almost near curtain APOCALYPTICAL demise, it looks good, it is multiplayer and it has a ton of LOOT. This game is more about number crunching with a side serve of shoot em up. You will have a blast if you group up with your friends, or if you don't, then with other players from around the globe, a little bit of trash talking and you got yourself a good time. You will definitely be coming back for more. Of course THE DIVISION is not without flaws, it's to be expected with newly released always online mmorpgs of this magnitude, but they are progressively getting ironed out over what seems to be frequent scheduled updates. If you are familia with this sort of genre of game then you'll defiantly be in for a real treat.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Highly Addictive, for the wrong reasons Tom Clancy's The Division is a RPG Co-Op shooter hybrid. Upon release this game has had a myriad of problems, such as more than a few times I've found a mission objective become impossible to complete from issues such as; - completing objectives but the game doesn't trigger the start of the next objective - not spawning the NPC's required to progress, Other minor issues also exist with things such as audio clips not playing, being unable to move after an enemy knocking you out of the menu, and clipping through walls. Whilst this game can be highly addictive, it is for all the wrong reasons. Playing the same 20+minute missions over and over for gear, following the same path in the Dark Zone killing named enemies for gear, or walking around the street grabbing crafting materials to craft gear. Unfortunately, as of right now, in the base game that's it. No PvP exclusive game mode, no side activities, no wave based game mode. Just running through the same stuff, shooting the same generic enemies, all the while hoping for a drop. Yet even with that, most players will keep coming back to the grind, because they want that gear which is a completely random drop. Now even though I may sound like I hate the game, it's not all bad. The idea behind the game's narrative is solid, and even the telling of the story is quite good, with part of the story being told through the missions, and another major part of the story coming from the collectibles you can find. Yet even though the story was solid, it ends rather abruptly, leaving major parts unresolved, creating the likely scenario that it will be finished in DLC. I cannot say much more without getting into spoiler territory on that unfortunately. Along with the story, the world is sold very well with the combination of lighting and particle effects. More than a few times I've been amazed by the look of an area.Whilst this game doesn't have ultra amazing character/building mesh's or textures, the lighting and effects more than makes up for it, yet with all the good it does, is not enough to overlook the game's underlying problems. With all I have said, I don't wish to attack the game because I see how much potential it had, and I think it still has some, however, the base game as it is now only a few weeks after launch doesn't have enough content to keep players interested until the DLC's, relying more on the addictive grind for gear, rather than providing satisfying gameplay that players will return to. Whether or not this changes in the future is something to be seen.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Repetitive and boring The story in this game is complete garbage, there are 3 different enemy's in the game and zero character customisation with enemy's randomly spawning behind you. That being said if you like shooting a guy in the face 300 times/ grinding the same missions over and over then you will intact love this game.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dividing It Up! It's a great co-op game with some great replay value I've found compared to other games of the same without being too repetitive with some extras to change things up with the PvP zone. 10/10 Shotgun Rushers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from challenging and enjoyable - 5 stars i thought i would write a review due to the fact I have been playing this game for over 12 months and the community is extremely vibrant. The positives of the games is the grind to secure greater gear, teamplay, and the combat mechanics - you can be creative and custom build your character based on how you prefer to enter combat and chase that gear to compliment it. the legendary and heroic missions are extremely tough and require to matchmake to enter as a tea., Once completed though you get a sense of accomplishment like no other game I have played. There are also different game modes - there is basically much to do if you play with a team or go solo. The downside is if you are going solo it is too difficult to capture top end gear albeit the gear in solo is more than decent - it is not the top end type. Yes many NPCs are bullett sponges and incredibly difficult to kill but with the correct build so are you. The story missions are decent and will put you in motion of what comes after as this game really does begin when the story missions ends. Definitely worth a try it's just a lot of fun.
