Rated 3 out of 5 by from Perfect for simple phone calls and text They go ok for phone calls, text, checking facebook and sending emails. I am notorious for breaking screens on my phone, so for me the price point is perfect to grab a replacement phone when I inevitably break it. I have now owned 5 of these little phones over the past 2 years. They are a phone and not much more. No storage, the camera is terrible but it is easy to make and receive phone calls, send text msgs and check emails. If that is your intention for the phone you wont be dissapointed. It is a very simple, basic phone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Storage is terrible, battery life not much better. I bought this phone from JB-HiFi at Castle Towers in Sydney. It was an excellent price for what you get. However, when I asked the sales person about the internal storage capacity he said 8Gb. When I set up the phone for my son I loaded 1 game on there (560Mb) which loaded fine, then I went to load Words with Friends and the phone said there wasn't enough memory. I checked the device settings and it only has 1.2Gb internal memory and 1.3Gb Phone memory (not sure what the difference is as the phone doesn't come with a manual). You can expand the memory with a microSD card up to 32Gb, but this doesn't change much as the apps don't install on to the memory card. It is really only for music and files (documents etc). The battery life is also reasonably poor. It will need to be charged every day, even with only moderate use. It is a great phone for phone calls, texts, internet and emails, but be wary about this phone if you want to run apps on it, you won't get many.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tolerable The phone is ok for making calls, but sometimes sms is a bit dodgy. Bright screen with adequate colour accuracy and resolution, however the battery is meagre. Ok in general however data plan is insufficient. Good as a work phone and the price makes you feel secure to give to employees. Touch screen is very random so instead i would recommend one of the traditional keypad phones.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The Price reflects it's quality Now I like to think I know quite a lot about Android Smartphones, Having owned 12 in my Lifetime and a majority of them I rather like, The T815 is one of the few examples of a Cheaply made Android Smartphone that underperforms. For one, The back of the phone takes a great deal of effort to get open and it comes with unrealistically low Space for a Smartphone (1 GB to be precise) and a horrid Keyboard. A problem that I've encountered time and time again with this phone is when you try to call someone via your Call List, It'll call someone else instead. The phone doesn't overheat quickly like other Android Phones but does seem to lag when more then 3 Apps are running at a single time, Also not to mention it's lack of helpful App options such as the infuriating Auto-Update that hogs all of the phone's Memory and makes it seem like the phone is frozen in place. The phone also has a habit to pickup fingerprints easily. Out of the box the T815 doesn't come with much, If you bought it as a Telstra-Locked Pre-Paid phone like I did then all you'd get is your Sim Card (If provided), a "Quick Start" Guide, The Phone itself and a pouch should you ever choose to Recycle it. The Tempo T815 isn't such an ideal phone for personal use but is okay for Work provided you don't install any Apps.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failure of a Phone Press End to end a call, and it calls someone else in your directory... open up an app, and it opens something totally different. Write a text message takes 30mins as the letters you press on the screen types out tottally different letters , its an absolute joke

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Never mind the quality feel the width The phone comes with no manual, none whatsoever. Congratulations Telstra on saving about 15 cents ! The manual is available on the phone, but of course by then you've worked everything out.... After struggling to take off the back - it's made from the cheesy, chalky stuff they make sewer pipes from and it bends - and going through the horrific sign in process from Telstra (the phone has an attitude sensor and resets every time you put it down), I find it has a big bright screen and a not very big battery. The claimed charge times are completely fictional. There's a good e-reader (actually a word processor) which is what I got it for. There's also a full office package so you can use it as a PC if you want, once you attach a keyboard. You can get up to 32gB by adding a SD card and struggling with the back again, but you need to point the stack to it under settings to download apps there. If you want to use the ones already on it you then have to reset it again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fails in the basics The phone needs to be reset at least twice a day. It will refuse to send an SMS unless reset, yet all other aspects of the phone (calls, internet, etc.) will still work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too good to be true - Is not the case I recently bought this phone to replace another broken phone, and man-O-man was I surprised. No only does it come with expandable storage, it has touch screen!! The price is excellent and the camera takes a photos. Would recommend to any geezer looking for good times! I rate the value as poor because I believe it is undervalued. This phone is at least worth $350-$500 (Touch screen!!!!!).
