About Product Availability

Not all the items listed on our site are available immediately.

If your item is marked as ‘In-Stock’ on the product page or during check-out, then stock is available immediately, with delivery options generally available.

If your item is marked as ‘Limited Stock’ on the product page or during check-out, then low levels of stock are available immediately, with delivery options generally available.

If your item is marked as ‘Special Order’ on the product page or during check-out, then the item is not available immediately, and needs to be ordered from our supplier.  Extended delivery times incorporating the supplier lead time will apply and will be quoted in the estimated delivery time provided at the check-out.  From time to time suppliers are not able to supply in the time indicated, which can create further delay. If this happens, we will contact you as soon as possible.   You will be offered the opportunity to cancel your order at that time, otherwise your order will be dispatched as soon as the items are available.

Australia Post Mail

I want the cheapest price

Generally, shipments for 2 or less standard sized Music, Movies or Games items will be offered Australia Post Mail as a Standard Delivery option at check-out.  This cost-effective delivery option is an untracked service offered at $1.69 per unit.  Estimated delivery times vary between 4-10 days depending on where you live and where the item is shipping from.

If you purchase any one item that cannot be delivered via Australia Post Surface Mail (due to being either too large or heavy to fit into a standard envelope size) then this option will not appear during checkout and it will be replaced with Standard Delivery.


Standard Delivery


I’m in no hurry!

Standard Delivery for parcels are shipped with Toll Priority on a tracked service.  

While the general timeframe for this delivery service is 2-4 business days, you will be provided with an estimated delivery timeframe based on your specific order in the check-out.  The price of the Standard Delivery will vary based on the product(s) in your shopping cart, their size and the number of shipments required to fulfil your order, the delivery cost will also be calculated for your order in the check-out. 

Standard Delivery to Parcel Lockers, PO Box, GPO, Locked Bag or RMB addresses will be shipped with Australia Post E-Parcel on a tracked service.  You will be quoted a delivery cost for Standard Shipping and will be provided with an estimated delivery time for this service in the check-out.


Express Delivery

I want it in the next few days!

JB Hi-Fi offers a convenient and cost effective Express Delivery service for stock available immediately, with an estimated delivery time of 1-2 business days.  Due to size limitations, not all items will be eligible for this Express Delivery service. Prices vary depending on the size of the item(s) in your shopping cart, and start from as low as $4.99 up to $8.99 per shipment.


Courier Delivery

I want it today!

JB Hi-Fi offers a same day courier service to customers living in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

If your order is eligible for a Courier Delivery, you will be presented with the Courier Delivery option in the checkout. 

Orders must be placed before 1pm Monday to Friday to book the courier delivery service.  The driver will call once the booking has been made – a follow up SMS will be sent when goods are on-board for delivery.  Your order will generally be delivered to you prior to 7pm the same day. 

Orders placed after 1pm may be booked for next business day courier delivery. The next day delivery service for orders placed after 1pm and before 10am following day will generally be delivered between 10.15am and 2pm.

The cost of a Courier Delivery for Same or Next Business Day delivery is $9.99.

Courier Deliveries are not available on weekends or public holidays.

3 hour Rush

I need it now!!

JB HI-FI offers a 3-hour Rushed Courier service to City and City fringe customers living in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

If your order is eligible for a 3hr Rush delivery, you will be presented with the 3hr Rush delivery option in the checkout. 

Orders are only eligible for the 3hr Rush delivery service between 8am - 2pm Monday to Friday.

Prior to delivery, the driver will call once your goods are on-board, and your order will generally be delivered within approximately 3 hours of placing your order. 

The cost of a 3 hour Rush Delivery is $14.99.

3 hour Rush deliveries are not available on weekends or public holidays.

Not offered a 3 hour Rush Delivery Option at check-out?  
This could be due to several factors including your delivery location postcode, the availability and location of the items in your order and order size.


Scheduled Delivery

This delivery service is available for Bulky Goods including Visual products over 65”, Cooking and Whitegoods.  This is a point to point courier delivery service. 

When placing your order between the hours of 9am-2pm Monday to Friday, we will aim to call you within approximately two hours to confirm product availability and your details.  For orders placed outside this time, we will aim to call you by approximately 11am the next business day. 

Our carrier will then call to arrange with you an agreed delivery day and delivery window.  
Deliveries are for the most part performed Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am – 6pm.  We have limited deliveries available on Saturdays.  On the delivery day, the driver will call once your goods are on-board, to confirm your delivery window.


International Delivery

We are happy to accept international orders for music, movie or games products. Please note, we do not allow international shipping of Consumer Electronics products currently.

All international orders are shipped by Air Post. As soon as your order is dispatched you will be notified by email. Track and trace information is not available with Air Post packages. International shipments generally take 2-4 weeks for delivery from the date of dispatch, but please allow up to 6-12 weeks in case of delays. Customers will be responsible for any import duties, taxes or any other import related costs. 

Please note that all items with free shipping in Australia will incur a delivery fee for International delivery.  Freight charges will be calculated based on the weight of the items in your order.


Can I change my Delivery Choice after placing my order?

You will be unable to edit your order’s Delivery Choice after you have submitted your order.

How are Estimated Delivery Times Calculated?

You'll see an estimated shipping or delivery time or date range for your order at the check-out. 

Estimated delivery times are calculated based on the estimated shipping date, this includes the estimated supplier lead time days for Special Order items, and adds the carrier transit time (the time it takes a package to travel from our fulfilment location to your destination address), based on the selected delivery choice. The carrier transit time is calculated using business days, excluding Saturday and Sunday.  Public holidays are also considered when calculating the carrier transit time.

Your estimated delivery time(s) will also be included in your order confirmation email.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipment notification email that will provide you a link to track your delivery online and an SMS text message to let you know your goods are on their way.  Please note Australia Post Mail is an exception to this, where no tracking information is available.
 


How are Delivery Fees Calculated?

You'll see Delivery fees for your order at the check-out. 


AUSTRALIA POST MAIL

  • Standard Mail is calculated based on a flat shipping cost per product unit.

  • STANDARD DELIVERY

  • Standard Delivery is calculated based on a charge per shipment, factoring in product/packaging size and the origin/destination.  The charge of this shipment is then allocated to the products in the shipment per their cubic volume (size).

  • EXPRESS DELIVERY

  • Express Delivery is calculated based on the size of the packaging required and the number of shipments.  Starting from $4.99 to $8.99 per shipment. The charge of this shipment is then allocated to the products in the shipment per their cubic volume (size).

  • COURIER DELIVERY

  • Flat cost per order/shipment of $9.99.  The charge of this shipment is then allocated to the products in the shipment per their cubic volume (size).

  • 3 HOUR RUSH DELIVERY

  • Flat cost per order/shipment of $14.99.  The charge of this shipment is then allocated to the products in the shipment per their cubic volume (size).

  • SCHEDULED DELIVERY

  • Scheduled Delivery is calculated based on a charge per shipment, including delivery size and the origin/destination.  The charge of this shipment is then allocated to the products in the shipment per their cubic volume (size).

  • INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY

  • International delivery fees are based on gross cart weight and destination country. To calculate total delivery fees, items should be added to cart and shipping country selected.  The delivery fee will be provided at check-out.
  • Please note that any applicable import taxes and duties will be the responsibility of the customer.

  • REMOTE LOCATIONS

  • JB Hi-Fi's national courier networks cannot provide door-to-door services to some remote Australian areas. Examples include Christmas Island, Norfolk Island, Roma, Weipa, Nhulunbuy and any area that may require light aircraft, barge or boat to access. In these cases, if delivery is possible, surcharges may apply to the standard rates. Alternatively, couriers may provide delivery to local depots or Australia Post offices for customer collection of goods.

  • Other Important Delivery items

    Multiple Line Orders - Order shipments

    We will always do our best to ensure your orders are consolidated into the fewest number of shipments possible. The number of shipments we make for your order is dependent on several factors including:

    • our fulfilment network:  where our stock is located across our network;
    • product availability:  items listed as Pre-Order or with Special Order availability will be split off and shipped separately from other items available immediately; and
    • items requiring special shipping and handling: large items such as Bulky Visual, Cooking or Whitegoods products will be split off from other items and will ship separately.

    Your order confirmation will show the number of shipments required to fulfil your order, identified by your order number prefix followed by a -1 or -2.  For unforeseen reasons such as stock availability issues, occasionally to ensure you get your goods fast, we may need to partially ship products within a shipment.  You will not be charged any more if this occurs.


    What happens when I am not at home to accept my delivery?

    JB HI-FI offers its online customers access to Alternative Delivery Points (ADPs) in the event of a missed or futile delivery. 

    ADPs are hyper-local, secure, convenient locations (Pharmacies, Newsagencies or Petrol Stations) where missed deliveries are returned to for collection at a later, more convenient time. 

    If you are a metro customer who lives within 5km, or a regional customer who lives within 10km of an ADP and you miss your Standard Parcel or Express Delivery, then it’s likely that your order will be taken back to the closest ADP near you for you to pick-up at a later, more convenient time. 

    When the missed delivery occurs and goods are sent to the ADP, you will be sent a text message advising that this has occurred and providing you with the ADP’s address details and operating hours for pick-up.  To pick-up your order from the ADP simply provide photo identification that matches the JB HI-FI order delivery details.   If you are unable to make it to the ADP you can authorise an alternate person to collect the delivery on your behalf by signing the back of the Carrier calling card and including their name. The authorised person will need to present this card with their photo ID at the ADP.  Pick-ups from ADP locations must be completed within 7 calendar days.

    If you do not have an ADP within a close proximity to your delivery address or your delivery is larger than the allowable size, then your delivery will be taken back to our carrier’s depot, and you will be left with a calling card to advise of the missed delivery.  You will need to call the carrier to make alternate re-delivery arrangements. 

    When a missed delivery occurs for a Courier or 3hr Rush delivery, the goods will be returned to your local JB HI-FI store.  When this occurs, you will be sent a text advising of the missed delivery and providing the Stores contact details.  You will receive a call from your local JB HI-FI store to make alternate re-delivery arrangements.

    If your order was consigned on Australia Post’s e-parcel service, and you miss the delivery, then the order will be taken back to the closest Australia Post office and you will be left with a card.


    Pre-Order Release Date Delivery

    Due to strict supplier embargo, pre-order product may only be shipped 1 day prior to the official release date.  At the check-out, you will be offered the delivery options eligible for your selected pre-order item.

    Our Express Delivery service is generally delivered within 1-2 business days, and is often the quickest delivery service available for Pre-Order releases.  We suggest you deliver to a residential address to avoid delays.  Please note: Express service is not available for PO Box or Parcel Locker address types.  Courier Delivery and 3hr Rush Deliveries are not eligible services for pre-order releases. 


    Sending orders to a Parcel Locker, PO Box, GPO, Locked Bag or RMB addresses

    There are some special considerations that need to be taken into account when sending orders to Parcel Locker, PO Box, GPO, Locked Bag or RMB address types.

    • Size:  Parcels cannot be larger than 39 x 36 x 64cm and/or heavier than 16kg
    • Carrier: All parcels to the above address types will be consigned on Australia Post E-Parcel.

    Please note: Standard Shipping Deliveries may take longer for these address types.


    Appliances - Can you remove old appliances, unpack or install appliances during delivery?

    We currently only offer Scheduled Delivery for Bulky Goods purchased Online including Visual products over 65”, Cooking and Whitegoods. 

    Removal of old appliances, unpacking or installation of new appliances is not currently available to Online customers.

    Shipping restrictions

    For customers living in regional or remote locations or on islands off mainland Australia, please be aware that shipping restrictions do apply for selected items where we are unable to provide the courier service requirements. 

    These restrictions will be made visible at the check-out, where an error message will appear at check-out to advise that the item(s) in your cart are not eligible to be shipped to that address. 

    Remote deliveries are subject to local transport schedules and may encounter extended delays.


    International Shipping

    For international orders, please allow at least 2-4 weeks for air mail delivery (on rare occasions, international delivery can take up to 12 weeks). International customers will be responsible for any import duties, taxes or any other import related costs. For orders delivered with Australia, no import duties will apply.


    Damaged deliveries or incorrect supply

    If any products are delivered damaged or faulty or there are any errors in the products delivered to you, please contact our Online Customer Service Team for assistance using the ‘Contact Us’ section of the website and selecting ‘Online store complaint’.
