Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best quality Nikon available right now! I bought this camera as a replacement to the D4 I was using in my previous employment. That was a great camera - consistent, great ergonomics, predictable image quality, heavy! Having tried a D800 a few years back I found the sharpness unuseable but the D810 is excellent in this regard. I rarely need any form of sharpening to final images and the file size makes cropping possible without much loss of quality. The ergonomics are classic Nikon. Forget the D610 and D750... the D810 has controls in all the right spots and balances beautifully with larger lenses as well as primes. With 36MP resolution, there's slightly more noise at higher ISO's but with correct or slight over-exposure (in RAW), this is hardly a problem. Moire isn't an issue either - and chromatic abberation is so much better than with the D600 and D610. If you want a pro camera with plenty of room to crop/enlarge but don't need the crazy high speed frame rate of the D5 - this is a fantastic camera!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Once familiar with features its a dream to use. Purchased two years ago and love it. Files are very large on RAW Fine but wow, post processing you have extreme depth to play with. Bringing back dark shots back to life even beats the Hasselblad medium format.
