Description

    You'll Float Too.

Bill Skarsgård stars as Pennywise the clown in this adaptation of Stephen King's novel directed by Andrés Muschietti. In Derry, Maine, in the late 1980s, a group of seven childhood friends, known as The Losers Club, unite to combat a mysterious threat which their cursed town had thought was long since buried. After his little brother Georgie (Jackson Robert Scott) disappears, along with several more of the town's youngsters, Bill Denbrough (Jaeden Liberher) gathers his group of outsider friends together to search for clues. Their quest eventually leads them to fight back against the shape-shifting, supernatural predator lurking in the shadows of their town and preying on children's innermost fears, manifesting itself as a killer clown called Pennywise.

Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scary but very touching It revolves around the losers club which involve Bill (Jaeden Lieberher) Eddie (Jack Dylan Grazer) Ben (Jeremy Ray Taylor) Beverly (Sophia Lillis) Mike (Chosen Jacobs) Richie (Played wonderfully by Finn Wolfhard) and Stan (Wyatt Oleff) who have to fight a terrifying clown before it keeps on killing off the kids of Derry. The movie, even though it is a horror movie has many laughs especially from Richie Tozier who has many jokes up his sleeve. This movie is frightening and does contain a few jumpscares, and a substantial amount of gore, a lot more than the 1990 miniseries. This is a fun movie to watch with your friends and parents if your over the age of 12 if you don't have coulrophobia (fear of clowns) if you do this isn't recommended for you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from IT Looked at the new remake compared to the original, the new film is presented from the kids point of view to start with and penny wise is more in your face. The new film left me with the feeling of being short changed like there should be more. I was expecting the film to have gone through a modernisation as if it was set today but this was not the case.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Weak as lolly water! After all the hoo ha what a let down of a movie. The acting was that pathetic that we were laughing ourselves silly at certain moments in the movie! No we haven’t been desensitised to horror as it wasn’t that horrific. A couple of gore moments but weak overall. Not going to even bother with the sequel if ‘IT’ ever comes out. So sad we were really looking forward to a good old scare too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favourite movie ever! This version is 1000x better than the original (which was a total snooze-fest). Sorry Tim Curry, but Bill Skarsgård out performs you as Pennywise. Great acting, character development and directing. Can't wait for IT Chapter II!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from IT dvd The best film of 2017 and its now in my loungeroom. It arrived promptly and was well packaged to keep it safe. The extras on the dvd are great and I only wish they'd been included in the theatrical version.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a remake but rather a whole new storyline I bought this for my sister. It is not a remake but rather a whole new storyline. Not scary or impressive, but instead just weird. Prefer the original any day.
