Pioneers of the Big Beat genre, THE PRODIGY have been shaking up the music scene since 1990. Their immense, worldwide popularity has grown from daring song creations of various styles, ranging from rave, hardcore techno, industrial, and break beat in the early 1990s to big beat and electronic rock with punk vocal elements in later times. The Prodigy have come far from their early days in the underground rave scene. Selling over 25 million records worldwide and winning numerous music awards throughout their career, The Prodigy's seminal album, 'The Fat Of The Land' is celebrating its 15th anniversary, and the album will be reissued worldwide by XL RECORDINGS. Who could forget the songs 'Firestarter' and 'Brea the'? Originally released in 1997, 'The Fat Of The Land' was an instant critical and commercial hit, entering both the UK and US album charts at number 1 and subsequently shooting to number 1 in 24 countries around the world. In doing so, The Prodigy became only the eighth British band in history to enter at the top of the US albums chart, following the likes of THE BEATLES and DEPECHE MODE in such an achievement. 'The Fat Of The Land' sold over a million copies worldwide in its first week, reaching the 10 million sales mark within just eighteen months. To mark this fifteenth anniversary release, the band have handpicked a group of artists to remix key tracks off the album, including NOISIA, ALVIN RISK, ZEDS DEAD, BAAUER, THE GLITCH MOB and MAJOR LAZER, with deluxe versions of the album featuring all six remixes.
